Gocek Tunnel

Hi all,

Excuse my ignorance, but I have just read on a website that the Gocek tunnel has cut down up to half an hour on some trips from Dalaman to resorts - does this include Icmeler?

Going again for the 5th time in June - great.

No I'm afraid that the Gocek tunnel, opened in 2006, is in the opposite direction out of Dalaman. Think
olu Deniz, Fethiye etc

Steve is right, the tunnel saves about 20 minutes going towards Fethiye way. But a lot of the main road to Marmaris and Icmeler is now dual carriage way and has cut the journey time down a bit.

It may seem like a good time saving but in fact it is 6/7 minutes only.(Timed) However, for those that do not like going up and over the hill it is a godsend.
