Hi, I don't think you can get a mortgage in Turkey I do not think they believe in them you buy property for cash.
Not sure though would not quote me on that

We looked into buying over there last year. We decided to wait a little bit, but we got speaking to a good estate agent over there who was british and she said not to worry as they would guide us through everything. So I would advise if your thinking of buying to get a good agent.

Don't forget that a good British estate agent or a Spanish one or a Turkish one are only there to fleece you of as much money as they can whether it be in Turkey or the UK

yes and be careful as they nearly all have English speaking women who work there to mke you feel at ease, the one i spoke to wasn't selling me anything so she had nothing to gain by it . A peace of advice, ask around all the estate agents first and ask them the procedure and check on the internet before you buy and ask English people how they went on so you know what you' re getting into. Id be happy to help anyone if they need it just gone though it myself unscathed so to speak although the Estate agents tried to get me to pay the whole tax which i only had to pay half of, hope this helps

Hi,
We bought an apartment 2 years ago through Cartier’s real estate in Icmeler, and they were fantastic.
They helped us with getting a solicitor buying the furniture and even loaned us their vehicles to collect bits and pieces. Any problems with the building gardens or maintenance were immediately dealt with and they still help us now and we arrange all our transfers through them as we are in touch via email regularly.
We visited properties with other estate agents in
Icmeler who were either to pushy or didn’t have a clue. If you speak to anyone who has bought properties from Cartier’s they will all have nothing but praise. Beware!!!

Hmm I will have to be having words with them because as far as I know they sell property and and it is us that sell transfers.
Maybe I should start selling properties, now that should upset quite a few agencies
