Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

After visiting my GP yesterday, I was advised that I needed Hepatitis A, and Typhoid injections to visit Turkey. I have been going to Icmeler for the last 5 years and never had a vaccination.
Has anyone else been advise or may be had theirs?

Been going to Icmeler for about 13 years and have never had vaccinations, and certainly no problems.

I visited for the first time last August and didn't think for a minute that I would need vacinations; and I'm returning this year. up until I read your post would not have thought about it. I will ask my doc the next time I visit. Cheers

I had the injections the first time I visited Side in Turkey on the Doctors recomendation,but this was nearly 16 years ago.
It does depend on the area you are going to visit and The Marmaris area is one of the places were injections arent necessary.
Holiday brochures dont insist you have injections.
Its the same old story though if injections give you the peace of mind have them done.

Yeah i'm the same..been going 11years now and never had any vaccinations.
But as Gene says if they give you peace of mind..
Personally we've never had any problems (touch wood)

The only injection that you should have is a tetanus jab just for peace of mind,the other injections are only recommended.
