Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

When we first went to Icmeler in 2005 there was a man on the Beachfront who sold donner kebabs, and there was a woman who made the breads in a little hut about 50 meters away, I seem to remember it was in the edge of a hotel grounds.

Since then we have not seen him. 2006 we stayed in Marmaris at the end of the season, and we only really came to Icmeler on a night, and last year he was not there again.

Anyway, does anyone know where he has gone, as they were the best kebabs in Icmeler, and I miss them.

I think the hotel is the Aqua as we stayed there a few times. They had a little tent arrangement and there was a lady making pancakes out the front of it. Did you try any of the authentic Turkish ice cream from the man with the fez hat?

Last year my Wife decided that she would like to try one of those lovely ice creams from that Turkish Guy with the fez. He's a really nice person, he even seen the funny side when she nearly knocked the whole thing over as she lost her balance ! Maybe the Efes had an influence in the matter.. I still got the blame as she said I nudged her !!!

The Erdem Cafe do take-away donner kebabs, last summer they'd installed the equipment at the entrance and were doing a roaring trade!

The Icecream man is ace, best ice cream I have ever tasted.

The Kebab guy was before you get to Erdems, but I agree Erdems Kebabs are lovely.
