Welcome Jayne

There are so many places to choose from my favourites, are the florida (lovely food) at top of canal, Dreamboys, Venice & Majestic on canal great food and entertainment, also Mitos on canal does lovely food too, also have Waterboys, Vinces, and loads more I guess you'll find lots when you get there and come home with your own favourites and probably want to go back to try some more the next year :) Re prices I can't really remember but I guess it can vary.

You will no doubt get lots more information from other members.

Happy holidays :)

Hi Jayne,
Can't remember the prices exactly but for a family of 4 eating 2 to 3 coarses and drinks most of the night we were paying between £30 - £40. Also, we had a good exchange rate at the time of going.

Try going to a different restaurant each night for the 1st week as they all have different offers on, you will soon decide which one is your favourite. We had great food in Dreamboys and Charlies but it didn't matter where you ate, its all good food and value for money compared to the UK.

You have to try their traditional dishes - beautiful.
Hope you have a good holiday

Cheers John

Wellcome to the forum Jayne.
You are in for a treat visiting Icmeler for the first time.
The rate today of the YTL (Turkish Currency) is 2.33 to the £.
Beer costs 3-5 YTL pint or large btle
Coke about same
coctails 7-8 YTL
Main Meals ie:-Steaks, Chicken with all trimmings 16-21 YTL
It depends were you want to eat and drink there are loads of cheaper restaurents and cafes to have your food then move onto a bar that has entertainment that usualy starts at 10pm.
Browse the forum, all the info is on here except for up to date prices when the season starts.
There are two nightclubs at the moment in Icmeler that close at 4am
These being Eastenders and Pleasure, but a 3rd may be open for the start of the new season.

If you do require help just ask, there are lots of people on here to help you.

Hi and welcome Jayne
Don't worry about the bugs , no one could be as bad as me and am fine over there
Sue didn't tell you that she'd enlarged the pic and the bug's only the size of a pinhead really ha ha
Am sure you'll have a great time

there are also lots of pide places that do kebabs or pizzas for a few lira if you really want to save the dosh - they're fab and our kids love firing off and having tea there on their own while we get ready. it's so hot they aren't too hungry so it suits all of us just fine

Hi Jayne It didn't quite fit Fannys description as being the size of a pinhead Ha Ha  Put it this way My friend took the photo and she is not exactly bug crazy but he was quite sweet and he fascinated her, she chased him round the balcony to get that photo! Scared him half to death  As to cockroaches. Only seen one, unlike Spain which was heaving with them! Yuk! :)

poor you Jayne

went to Tenerife and there was a massive one in the bathroom that only seemed to appear when I went to the loo in the middle of the night, I screamed the place down [pathetic i know  ]
my much braver friend used to live there and reckoned the best way to sort them was to flip them on their back. there it was, breakdancing for a few hours - awful

usually get over to Lanzarote once a year and touch wood, haven't come across any
