My Holiday all over now :(

Postby andrea m » 12 Oct 2007 20:31

Well once again we had a fantastic time in Icmeler.

Arrived and got the ICR transfer (once again a godsend), arrived at apts much earlier than if we'd used the usual coach.

Went and booked boat trip (ICR full :( ) and the jeep safari. John (my brother) and debbie (his girlfriend) arrived on the Monday night (thanks Sharon for checking his transfer was sorted). We ate at Vince's, Florida, Mitos BBQ and other nights, Cocoa Beach, and others which I can't remember. All meals were great and not bad value either. We drank in numerous pubs including, Vince's, Pig N Whistle, Deniz Kapisi, Majestic, Venice, Geordie Bar, Dream 3 Bells, 3/4 Bells, Mitos, Irish Bar, Dreamboys and no doubt others along the way and again each bar had its plus points.

I got John and Debbie to join mum and me on the jeep safari which was meant to be on the Thursday - they forgot about us, so was re-arranged for the Friday which I have to say was possibly a bonus as we had a great crowd on the jeep and we ALL had the best time, saw the blue fish amazing. Needless to say we were soaked from start to finish and I didn't know how much fun you can have with a water gun a definate must do trip will no doubt do it again next year. John needless to say his inner child reappeared. The DVD is so funny brings back some fantastic memories!

We also done the BBQ boat trip was great as there were only about 11 of us on it so could spread out a bit and loved it. Such a different day to the jeep safari but another trip we have done on a few occasions and always enjoy it.

I have to say John who had been to Side years ago wasn't that keen on going to Turkey but he had a ball as did Debbie and we might have another two who have been converted :)

Well when they went home (only here for 1wk) we then started to recover from the mayhem and chilled for the last few days and once again I didn't want to come home, it definately gets harder each time you visit.

So to round it off we had a great time (me and mum not surprised but think John & Debbie were).

Oh well just need to start countdown for next year :D

Donna - I was more surprised than anyone especially when I texted him when I was watching the football in the pub and he said he wishes he was there - John never says that you ask him before a holiday so are you all ready and excited his usual response is aye just bits and pieces to get no excitment or anything. I knew I'd convert him to an Icmeler lover :D

Honest no more than the rest of you - just got confused and depressed writing all about how wonderful Icmeler is and missed a few words off the end of my sentence - honest thats my story and I sticking to it
