Hi, I used the ATM's in the suare this summer with no problems, I think I was charged about £1.50 each times I used them and that was with the Royal Bank of scotland. You could also double check with the Halifax how much you would be charged.

Hi

I also used the cash machines in the square without any problems and found that my bank RBS was giving a better exchange rate than I could find in Icmeler. Also if you use the HSBC bank you can take out pounds and exchange them in the town that why you can keep a better check on how much you have taken out as the exchange rate with your bank changes daily

What happens if the machine retains your card though? How would you get money then? I have always wondered this when people leave there money in a bank and use there cash card over there?

colette has a point..that was my reason for taking all that cash in the 1st place..i dont want my card retained..and 2 weeks without no money.
unless i take half of the money..and gamble on using ATM machine..
even if my card gets retained..i will still have some money on me :)

2 more sleeps now yiphee :D :D :D

Halifax also charge £1.50 per withdrawal :) used the machines the other week with no bother although 1 of them wouldn't accept my card but then went to another and had no problems.

Use the HSBC machine in the square and if it keeps the card you call the HSBC bank in Marmaris and they will give you a time to go there and collect your card from them

Just rememger that American Express travellers cheques are insured if they are lost/stolen. Take them with a small amount of English cash and your ATM card and you'll be ok!

Most of all enjoy you holiday and stop worrying about what MIGHT happen cos it might NOT!

Me and my hubby both take our cards-if one is retained we have a spare until we get to the bank..
