But here goes:
Arrived at Dalaman in the early hours of the 4th September, found the ICR transfer person, paid our money and were shepherded into someones private car and literally flew to Icmeler! We were there in no time at all which was nice for a change!

Got in the Daystar, unpacked our bags and had a kip!
The weather was still really warm every day, the odd day being cooler than others, and the odd gust of wind being really strong! The breeze was nice, and the days when there was no wind was like torture...just far too warm for me!
But The Daystar was exactly how we had left it in June, with the exception of a couple of new members of staff, most noteably Ferdi who is a complete gent! Sadly Ozzy isnt there any more but can be found down the road in Miami Restaurant! We ended up in the room opposite the one we were in in June which was nice, as it was on the ground floor and stayed relatively coolish so we didnt need to get the Air-Con. Didnt have a single complaint about the Daystar, sheets were changed 3 times over the 2 weeks, and the towels changed every few days. No "boom boom" music after 12pm...in fact Teddy prefers the Love albums or Celine Dion being on rather than anything dancey!
Oh...and got to thanks Teddy for showing the France Vs Scotland game because of the number of Scots at the Apartment that week! What a result!!!!
But onto the Food! Usually when we are in Icmeler we stick to the restaurants we know...much like bec!

Next was Marios, which was new to us...and all I can say is WOW! I didnt know about the terrace which has views over to Marmaris...and the food! WOW! That is quite frankly the most amazing Spaghetti Bolognese I have ever had...and I have had a few! I stuffed my face that night!
Unfortunately I then got the stomach bug which a few visitors to Icmeler seems to be getting, so wasnt in much state to go out much...but we popped into Robin Hood to try some "safe food" which would be gentle on the stomach. I had fish and chips, and unfortunately the fish wasnt very nice. The wife had Lasagne and couldnt eat it because the Pasta inside was hard. All credit to the waiters though, they removed the Lasagne from the bill and gave her a free pancake with Ice Cream which she was more than happy with!
We also tried The Sweet Brothers. all I can say is STEER CLEAR! Possibly the worst service we have ever had in 4 visits to Icmeler and the food was nothing to write home about either.
So it was back to our usuals after that, Titanic, Ozzys, Chef and The LoveBoat. Neither of these 4 will ever dissapoint you. Oh...and I had a pizza from Pizza Tomato one night...decent enough pizza for the money!

So that was us, we were ill for over a week so kinda ruined the holiday! Didnt do much shopping, but did get a decent Chloe bag for the better half and some mega cheap Saffron for my mum. Didnt go near the Market after some of the reports on here!
And then it was back to Dalaman and having to meander our way past bodies sleeping on the floor who were supposed to be on a delayed Manchester flight.
Point of note though...there is a private departure lounge upstairs at Dalaman...big comfy sofas, Air con, free internet, buffet, papers, etc...for 28 YTL per person. Didnt notice it until to late, but I'd say it would be well worth the money, especially if you're delayed at all!
I'm sure I have forgotten something, but hope some of you didnt fall asleep reading it!
