OMG! I went to exchange some money today only to find sterling has been hit really hard by the Northern rock crisis.
How are the exchange rates in Turkey holding up?

Hi I only got 2.40 yesterday at M&S, just got £100 I will take rest in sterling.

I only got 2.40 in Marks yesterday, I was a bit disappointed ...... best to get our money in

Got back yesterday morning.
In 3bells they were still giving us 2.5 to £
But around
Icmeler and
Marmaris we seen it for 2.4 too.

Just back this morning!
Generally the best rate we could find for the past few days was just below 2.5 to the pound. Most places are exchanging between 2.4 and 2.5!

Wednesday this week in Lloyds TSB, Post Office and Natwest, I only got 2.375. Grrr, Sept 2006 I got 2.75 minumum. Wish I had some savings last year.....lol.
