Laptops Internet Connection

Can anyone let me know if you can use a uk phone connector with a laptop to connect to the internet. Or does Turkey have different telephone plugs

If you have wireless connection most of the bars now have it free of charge

i think there only have 56k internet connecytions..which will be very very slow
