Well I would say that is down to your, own personal choice. However we normally leave a tip for taxi driver about 10 lira (£4). Cleaner for a 2 week stay 20 lira (£ 8)
Restaurants for a 50 lira meal about 5 lira £2. There are no hard fast rules, regarding tips. There was just the 2 of us. I know different countrys have a rule such as 10% or 20% of the bill. However I know no rule in Turkey. I tip for a great service plus the place's we go to eat ends up about 3 or 4 times in our holiday. No service charge is normal in Icmeler. But I guess my tip would be, go what you feel happy with jwynne.

Have a great holiday and enjoy every moment.

Hi jwynne

I found this year tour guides, gym staff,Turkish bath etc.....(not eating places or bars) staff asking for tips  3rd time this year and not heard of it before......so a dirty look and snarl  they got the message.

Each member i'am sure will have there preferences, staff they are friendly with favourite places etc.....for me i left 10ytl at each eating place and if only having a drink 5 ytl we are a family of 4,i also gave the same chamber maid 40ytl each week (she was a star) i also gave the guys who looked after us over the two weeks at the apts 40 ytl for there tip box at the end of the holiday.....as for transfer i'am unsure

Hi

The 'transfer tip' is one I've always wondered about. We usually give the driver 25ytl. Not ever sure if that's enough or not but reading some of the replys it seems ok I think ? We also usually tip about 10% on our meals, but that does vary on the amount of Efes I've had :? Sometimes it can be a lot more ! Oh well, all part of the holiday :D
