There's an Irish bar in Icmeler, but i can't explain exactly where it is, i'm sure somebody who knows Icmeler better than i do will point you in the right direction.

Yes the 2 Irish bars mentioned so far are on the same road, either head towards the beach down the canal and turn right after dream boys or its the road straight over from the Taj (which by the way is one of the best curries you'll get anyway mmmmmmmmmmm) which is heading down the main beach road past the ICR office and web cam

The Irish bar near the canal used to be the Pulse 8 bar, it's right in front of the Hotel Private, behind the S Hotel - was always busy there!

The Irish bar opposite Private was busy every night last week drinks are reasonable and they are very friendly lads. One night they had to put table round the outside of the bar it was so busy and they did have football on each night.

I already had some lira from June so didnt change money for couple of days nipped into a change office up the road from Tansas (not been in before) and just changed 40 they gave me 80 lira didnt realise till I got out what a bad rate that was on the beach and in the shops your were getting 25 to the pound. Highest rate we saw was in a shop near cash machines they were offering 25.7 so its worth looking round

Irish bars

Postby archieb » 16 Sep 2007 08:59

Brian,

The irish bars are in name only - I have never seen draught guinness, but you will get it in cans although it is expensive. If you ask any of the bars to put the game on I am sure they would. You can also get canned guinness in Venice, if they have not got it in they will get it for you - just ask Apo.

Let's hope the Gers and Celtic do well this week.

:D :D :D
