having only stayed in turunc and marmaris and only visited icmeler market if i got off the bus at the market which direction would i need to get to the bars and restaraunts is it a long walk

The walk to the canal area and centre would take a good 10-15 mins.
better to get the dolmus that runs through the centre of Icmeler.

it would take you 5 to 7 mins to get to the canal area and the centre, thats all.

no need to get a bus Tracey. The centre is just a short walk and u pass many lively places before you get to it anyway. just cross over from where u get off the bus for the market, then walk up one of 2 straight roads. the road with tansas on has many good bars and leads you straight to the centre within 5 mins

I stayed up by the market area last year and i agree with Gene its a good 10 to 15 mins to the canal area walking!

If you were catching a bus from Marmaris or Turunc I am saying sooner than get off at the market you get the bus that goes through the centre of Icmeler that way avoiding any walking.

I suppose I could be wrong on the walking time but it was only my suggestion,I do amble along a bit,Probably the amount of Effes being carried around in my belly.

Anyway as has been pointed out there are loads of watering holes before you reach the centre and if you visit them all you will never get there,but enjoy.

Tracy,it's deffo a GOOD 15 minute walk to the canal area from the market,have done it MANY times,either get the dolmus or have a nice slow walk frequenting lots of watering holes on the way,and it won't seem so long.

Thanks all for that im sure i'll find it, i may be a little tipsy by time i get there if i stop off at all the watering hole but hey so what,i fly out monday from manchester CANT WAIT!!!
