English Mobile Phones

Postby cherice » 27 Aug 2007 11:30

I have been asked to bring an english mobile over with me in a few weeks for a friend in Icmeler.

He mentioned something about taking it to the duty free to get something done to it so that it can be used in Turkey at a small cost!

Does nayone know anything about this? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Cherice you can no longer register the phones at Dalaman, apparently you can take them to the turkcell or avea whichecver shop and register them there, you must have the receipt of purchase with you. If the shop cannot do it you can get it done apparently in Mugla

Thanks for that Shaz.

Will have to try and sort the receipt out then!

What about if it was a contract phone here?

Thanks.

I gave my contract t-mobile phone to someone and they said they would have to go into Marmaris and get a password - so i presume that means unlocked.

My phone just wouldn't work with a turkish sim in it unfortunately
