Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Hi all - we had a family holiday in Icmeler 14 - 21 May this year and really fell in love with the place - it was our first time there. We stayed in the Blue Rainbow Hotel which was very central and close to the beach. The only downside was the weather - it was overcast for much of that week. I've raved so much about Icmeler a few friends said they would like to go, but the only time we can all get time off work together is end of September/early October. What's the weather/temperatures like at that time of year and would things be starting to close down for the season?

I was there last year from 22nd September for 2wks, the temperature was roasting (well for me anyway) the first week we had a few days of pouring rain - good excuse for a visit to the pub though. Once that had cleared it was back to being absolutely gorgeous even in the evenings it was warmer than usual.

We are going back at the same time this year and hoping it doesn't rain as my brother and his girlfriend are coming in our first week for the first time (hoping to convert them to Icmelerites ). For October the weather usually about the same as October.

When we go, we normally go end of Sept beginning of Oct. It's not as hot there obviously as it is in the summer, but still roasting! Still quite busy too and everywhere still open. In the years we have been going, only had 1 day of rain....ever! We're heading out there outselves on 1st October.

How unlucky you must have been when you went in May, I was there the previous week and it was absolutely scorching (apparently there were record temps for the time of year !!) However the weather turned so bad on our last day that our flight ended up being diverted from Dalamn to Bodrum airport which resulted in us finally arriving at Bodrum after a 5 1/2hr coach transfer...not what you need after your holiday!

Anyway as for Sept/Oct I`m hoping for some sunshine as we are returning on the 28th for 2 weeks. My friend went last year at this time and apparently it was very hot during the day but cooler in the evenings.

Only 6 weeks to go now...yippee!!!
