I used to go there every Saturday to watch the TV and have a bet on the horses as every other bar in Icmeler was full of football fans but Stonehouse was always empty

We have been going to the Stonehouse for the last five years as it is near the apartments we stay at. It is quite a way from the centre of Icmeler if you are walking but only about 5 minutes by dolmus. The food and service has always been great and its a nice change sometimes from the hustle and bustle if you want a quieter night.

I am useless at directions but the easiest way to get there if you are staying in the centre of Icmeler is to get on the dolmus that says Old Village on the front and ask for the Stonehouse, he will just stop there. You will go past Miramonte apartments on the left, then Club Pertunia Hotel on the right, then the Stonehouse is on the left hand side.

Hi there

Sorry to let you know, but the Stonehouse is now a supermarket. Popped in there in July for some ice creams!

Gutted! It was one of my favourite places! Is there still a supermarket nearby on the corner, run by a nice elderly Turkish man?

Yes there is, he kept giving hubby free bottles of lemonade when he walked down there in the morning to get fresh milk, bread etc!
It was soooo hot he must have looked as though he needed it!

Thanx for that Tania, I havent been able to go this year and Iv'e really missed seeing that little man every morning, I used to go early before sunbathing. He was really friendly and always giving me free stuff. I hope he's there next year. Where did you stay?

What a shame it's not there anymore, have been meaning to try it for ages so serves me right :( Thanks Tania for letting us all know.
That's what I like about the forum, we can get up to the minute news about our favourite resort and make arrangements before we go, so now I won't be trekking up to stonehouse expecting a lovely meal!
