Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Hello I'm Jim and my family and I am going to Icmeler tomorrow for one week and it will be our first time to Turkey. I have read you require Lira and Sterling, but my wife was given Euro travellers cheques instead of Sterling by mistake, and when this was pointed out they informed us thyere should be no trouble in exchaging euro's.
Will these be an hassle to change? or should we just take the hit on commission and change them over to Sterling.

There will be no problem with Euro traveller cheques Jim, as visitors from other countries use these. Not sure what rate you'll get but it will be better than having to change them to Sterling Cheques. Supermarket next to Chill Bar seems to be the best exchange place this year. Didn't use it myself when there in June but going back next Monday so will give it a go. Hope this helps.
