Has anyone ever used this?
Is it effective and where is the best place to buy it please?

My family used it last year, and even though it is quite expensive it does its job really well.

You apply it well in advance before you go out in the sun it will tell you on the packet exactly the time.

It lasts all day so you dont have to worry if you go in the water to re apply.

I used P20 plastered it all over my body then found out I was allergic to it brought me out in a horrible rash.

I stick to Piz bun once a day now

They have got p20 in tj hughes in macclesfield at the moment for just £6 for the large bottle.

Have you tried Bergaderm, it used to be called Proderm. Fantastic stuff. It's a mousse in SPF 30 SPF20 SPF12. I've tried P20 and think this is better. We bought it the first time from TJ Hughes, but the last couple of years we've bought it from Weston Healthcare on ebay.

Hmmmmm Not sure whether or not to risk it as I have sensitive skin - I have used Piz Buin before so may give there once a day type a look...... the last thing I want is to find I'm allergic to it...... Thanks

Hi there,
I have very pale northern irish skin that does not cope well with the sun. Its also very sensitive so I understand your dilemma. I can strongly reccommend piz buin 1 day long. There is also a factor 50 that you can get from your gp called "uvistat". Like any decent sunblock, from a factor 6-60, you need to apply a thick amount to get adequate protection. When it is applied you should quite literally be white, it should take about 20 mins to sink in. As with all spf you should apply a minimum of 45mins before exposure to sun. Also re-apply a layer after more than 30 mins of swimming, or after 20 mins in chlorinated water, even if the spf is waterproof.

To encourage your skins natural defence system and a tan if required use a tan accelerator at least 2 weeks before your hols, during, and 2 weeks after you come home. This will stimulate the body's production of melanocytes, tan producing cells. Therefore when you are in strong sunshine, even when using a good spf you are much less likely to burn. I use Elemis tan accelerator, made from natural stuff, and therefore you are less likely to be allergic to it.

Very boring, but been there, done that, had either a rash, or 3rd degree burns to prove it! lol

Thanks...... when I say I have sensitive skin, I tan really well, and dont burn much, but new products can sometimes cause an allergic reaction, so I have to be careful when trying somethin new. I can remember years ago trying Apri apricot face scrub, and ending up looking like the monster from hell - puffy red and itchy face for days, and ended up having to have a course of steroids from my GP

p20 can stain your clothes 2 so be careful
also it does not like some cleaning agents that are used in swimming pools

I ended up the same with Apri and am allergic to P20 so if you are going to give it a try I would advise you do a skin test first.

hehe, sounds like you have the same type of skin as me, and I too had an allergic reaction to Apri facial scrub!
I've never tried P20 but I would also recommend the piz buin 1 day long, Piz buin are probably one of the only suncreams thats actually agreed with my skin - and the good thing is you can buy wee sachets of the stuff, so you can try it out before having to buy the full bottle.

I think its just as well I asked - so its not just me with funny skin!

Think I will stick with what I know and be on the safe side. Thanks so much for your comments.
