Hi, newbie here - going back in a few weeks :D

Postby zel » 27 Jul 2007 21:50

hi there, I'm Zel from Scotland, was in Icmeler a few weeks ago and loved it soo much I've booked up to go back on 16th August!
Staying at the Mirage this time and wondering if anyone has any views on it, I've heard a few bad things regarding food/queues etc and would like you nice people to hopefully put my mind at rest!
we'll be eating/drinking outwith the hotel also, but chose AI to try and save a bit of money (only way we could afford to go back again!) just wondering if this has been a complete waste though if we're going to have to go out all the time :?

thanks for any info x

Hiya
welcome to the forum

I have stayed at the mirage a couple of times but 2years ago was the first time it went AI.To be honest they didnt cater much for British holiday makers.I didnt eat in the hotel one night on our 2week stay there.
This was the first year AI so it may have improved over the years.
On a positive the rooms are lovely and they have 2pool areas, one with a huge slide which was good
I dont usually book AI but it was a cheap holiday for some reason...but part of the holiday for me is eating out and meeting new people.

Sure you will enjoy it

Thanks for the replies :)

we do intend to eat out a few times anyway - I like to socialise as much as possible! but did intend to eat at hotel too (mainly through the day) to save a few ££
I'm sure it'll be nice enough and I'll make the most of it whatever happens - thanks again x

going AI is worth it just for the amount of fluids you'll drink throughout the day.

I went AI in april for a week in marmaris and even though we ate out most nights, we more than got our money's worth through the daytimes and tended to get a bit merry before leaving the hotel on an evening.

if it was a cheap deal then the difference between AI and HB costs will be covered just by what you eat and drink in the daytimes!!
