I gave this guy a new £20 note on the market for some gear I had bought
and he threw it strait on the floor.
I looked at him gob smacked and said "Money no Good"
He laughed and replied, "You are my first customer and it is good luck to throw first money on the floor"
Handshakes all round, the £ still carries a lot of clout.
When i was there at the start of the season (well in may - it was sooo quiet it seemed like the very beggining) we handed one of them to the bar owner of my fave bar and he asked about it but he wasnt bothered he just wondered what it was as he hadnt seen it before
Personally i dont like the dam things, they dont look normal at all. I used to work in a bank and we had to seperate them from the old ones because of the system the money goes through and it was really annoying when customers came up and they had old and new ones mixed together because you then had to sit seperating them which took longer because you couldnt let the customer go until everything is away off your desk. Really annoying
Icmeler*wonderbabe,
Now thats what I call a proper job, Counting and sorting money all day,
Oh the feel and texture of it gets me all excited. My friends wife loves money that much she knows every serial number on all the notes she has in her purse.
haha well thats what you call keeping an eye on your money. There were perks of the job, sometimes getting 11 grand in my hand all in one go, but then the novety warns off in the end and it just feels like normal. I did enjoy the job but then i realised the money wasnt mine. I did think about asking if i could bring my work home with me (the money) but i dont think that would have gone down well hehe
