When I go to Icmeler I always like to get dressed up at night. Not overdressed but not too casual.

Part of going on hol for me is wearing my new clothes that I have bought for going out. Lets face it we don't get much opportunity to dress up in lovely summer clothes and go out without coats here in England at night.

What does everyone else think, are there many like minded people or would you rather be dead casual?

I love to go out all dressed up in my new clothes when I'm on holiday. To be honest I couldn't imagine just going out in a pair of shorts and a T shirt.

I dont get to go out a lot when I'm at home as I start work early mornings so its a real treat to get dressed up and stay out late. So I like to make a bit of an effort and really enjoy it

Me and the other half allways make the effort at night, i always ware a shirt and smart shorts, other half likes to ware nice dresses too. Lets face it the locals make the effort for us, they are always smartly dreesed while the meals are being seved.

To tell the truth I bought a dress for my daughters wedding 2 years ago and it cost a fortune!!
It was dressy for the wedding with accessories but can be dressed down for the hols.
Its lovely and strappy and floaty so I really HAVE to go to Icmeler to get my moneys worth out of it don't I ?

I must agree with you, we always dress smart of an evening, I couldn't imagine going out with an old pair of shorts and a t shirt for a nice meal, we don't go overboard but we certainly make an effort.

Part of the anticipation of my holiday is planning what I'm going to wear to go out at night and then when I'm actually there; part of the enjoyment of the holiday is getting ready to go out. As Skilly says we don't get that much opportunity in the UK to go out without coats (especially this summer ). Me and my pal Mo usually start to plan what we're taking to wear weeks in advance, and we can never resist buying something else (cos we never have enought to wear - I know all the women will agree with this). Our men also get dragged (usually kicking and screaming) round the shops at least once to buy a couple of new nice shirts or dress shorts etc. to add to their collection of holiday gear. It's nice to be nice and to make the effort when we visit another country, especially as the people who work in the resorts make the effort for us. I am so looking forward to this holiday. A girl I work with flew out to Icmeler last night, to the same apartments as we are going to - it's her first time as well and I can't wait to hear her stories about it. I tend to dress up at night, i am really not into going out at night in shorts and tshirt.

I also think when you have a bit of a tan you look and feel better in yourself..or maybe that's just me lol

totally agree with you guys!! i cant stay too casual during the night as everyone is so casual through the day, i love shopping for new clothes for during the evening, and i can't leave england without my heels!! I like to make the effort and put a bit of slap on and so on. I just wouldn't feel right if i went for a nice evening meal with shorts n a t-shirt on!!

It doesn't matter whether you dress up or down I think as long as you are friendly and polite to people and totally comfortable in yoursel, who give's a s**t what you look like

i could never just throw on a tshirt & shorts
it doesnt feel right
