hi all,
some may know me but most will not,for those that dont ive been trying to convince the family to give marmaris a try for quite a while, once they agreed i changed my mind and opted for icmeler, best of both worlds i thought, really looking forward to this holiday even tho it's not until may 2008,but i can read all your reports for this year, that will give me some idea of the fun and frolics i can get up to in 11 months time,

Hi Bibbs!

Good decision to change from Marmaris to Icmeler! :) having taken a walk over there and been driven through marmaris during transfers I really wouldnt fancy staying there at all!

You will LOVE Icmeler! I always used to go somewhere different every year until I visited for the first time in 2004...and have been back 3 times now with one misguided visit to Tenerife which just doesnt compare!

2008 will be around in no time! :)

Hi bibbs, we stayed at the Cleopatra Sept 2005, the Cleopatra is directly in front Club Tokmak & is also owned by the Tokmak family they also own the Mete Apts.
From memory it is about a 10 minute walk to the Tansas supermarket & then just less than 10 mins to beach always depending on Efes stops.
You are quite close to the Mosque so be prepared for the 5am early wake up call. My Mrs thinks she is not in Turkey unless she can hear the Mosque.

bibbs, There are a few bars on the way to Tansas ( the place to buy your booze & water? to put in your fridge ), after Tansas the world is your oyster you are within 500/600 yds of everything that is good in Icmeler.
The alternative is to turn right to the old village area ,quieter but still full of great bars & restaurants.
