Hi Steve

Most restaurants will do a party for you they normally supply balloons ect
and a cake some places do them free others add them onto your bill.

I booked Kingsland for my hubby's 50th last week they really did a good job.

 When we were in the Peking for a meal there was a lady there having a party they played happy birthday in Chinese it was weird. :?

It is also my husbands 40th when we are there in August.
He has had his last three birthday's out there.

He hates a fuss  so this year on his 40th as there are 14 of us we are going to take banners, wigs etc with us.

Most bars will supply a cake so you don't have to worry about that. As long as you give them a few days notice they usually decorate the bar/restaurant with banner's etc anyway.

What date is your wife's 40th birthday?

I can recommend The Chef restarant if you want a celebratory meal - they'll sort out cake, decorations and make a big fuss and if you're lucky "Elvis" will do his Elvis impersonation!

I have to say for our wedding anniversary the Famous Kitchen as it was known then put on a wonderfull party for us, with balloons, banners and a special cake with candles.
We had a wonderfull party with a fantastic atmosphere.

Tears where shed, but of happiness

Hi Steve

My other half will also be celebrating his 40th over there in October. There are 17 of us going and we will probably be having the party in The Dream.

We were also thinking the same as you with regards to banners etc. I may buy all that kind of stuff over here and take it with us. I'm sure the lads will trim up for us, and will go out of their way to ensure he has a great birthday.

I think that no matter where you decide on, you will have a wonderful evening - one to remember.

We were in the Venice a couple of weeks ago and it was a gentlemans birthday, they had baloons, banners and cakes etc.

Also Pop In to Oscars is a good place to hold it too, they can do fireworks if you wish. They have a sign in there saying to ask a member of staff if you have a special occasion to celebrate.
