Hiya

Yes i would take british money with you and get it exchanged over there! The hotels and some restaurants will do it at the base rate but if you have a GOOD look around you could probably find it as high as 2.7! When i was there in May we could get 2.6 from our friend (cant mention the name of bar i dont think?????) which was good because everyone else was offering 2.5. Hope this helps

i have been following the rate on M & S excahnge site for the last 2 or 3 weeks.Today it went to its lowest in that time 2.45. the highest was last wednesday at 2.538.
i have noticed that each Wednesday for the last 3 weeks have been the higest rates.
i suppose it must have gone down in icmeler as well ,although i have read a recent post that the local rate was only 2.55.
i am taking sterling cash to change in icmeler just hope it stays above 2.5.
a big difference to last years 2.80 / 2.90

When i was there in may the rate was hovering round the 2.5 mark and it looks like it still is so i dont think there will have been much difference in 4 days. I just hope the rate starts to grow soon as i will be going over soon!
