best first time holiday to icmeler!!!!

Postby nicwrigley » 18 Jun 2007 11:01

hi all,

firstly i wanted to thank everyone for their help before we went... i was prepared for every eventuality!!!

We had the best holiday ever. 1 week is not enough and i could seriously cry thinking about how good it was.....

firstly, apartments.... Babadan. EXCELLENT! location fantastic, people fantastic, food great!!! pools great (although not sure why they cant ust have matt tiles round by the pool?? not good for 3 year olds! ha ha! but i gather this is very common)

the Romance palace is the nicest restaurant...... directly next to our apartments. my son fell in love with Mr Bombastic.(Mr Bombtastic as sonny took to caling him!!!!) he was so good with my little boy. also hussain (sp) was fantastic. taking him to the shop while we ate dinner!!! i recommend this restaurant highly! the entertainment was fantastic (great breakdancers!!! and of course mr bombastic himself! ha ha!!), food delicious. the cheddar cheese steak! YUM!!!!

the beach was lovely, we went to the bit by Coco Beach restaurant, had our brekkie there most mornings. lovely! messi (drinks guy, dont think that is his real name) was great! i was astounded by the fact that every day they remebered our name!!!

also went to venice, as recommended! food was amazing! the canal is absolutely gorgeous!!

the best shop ever was in the underground market bit, opposite the pop in restaurant, down the side of the chinese resataurant.... i wish i'd taken notice of the name, but was too amazed by the quality of stuff there!!!!
the gut doesn't even start off with high prices..... (like the shops in marmaris... more about that later!!!) i got a great miu miu bag in the softest leather in tan for £35 ad have already had about 15 comments this weekend on it! gorge!!!!

went to dreamboys one night, and the dropped my sister and her husband off at their hotel in marmaris after our meal! how nice is that????

everything amazed me. went in to Marmaris one day that it rained, wasn;t as impressed........

went on a great boat trip (sorry icr guys, my boyfriend booked this.... i didn;t have time to find you!!! :() but regardless it was great ! we went in a pink cow bus, and our guide was a funnier version of jack sparrow - pirates of the caribbean who actually spoke like borat! he was hilarious!!! loved it, swam in the sea at every interval.

everything was perfect. ooooh my boyfriend and son got a fantastic haircut by nico, which was on the way to the beach. he even got a face mask and his eyebrows plucked! (men eh?)
:D :D

i have so much good stuff to say!! the market was good but i recommend the shop in the underground bit for cheap gorge leather bags....

i also have to say that there was not much hassle from people. i was [;easantly surprised.

all in all it was the greatest place EVER!! and cant wait to go back!!!!!

thanks again to all of you!!!!!!!

i will also try and add some photos and will think of anything else i have forgotton!!!
