Hi everyone
My friends and I are returning to
Icmeler in late September

and would love to go on a boat trip, however one friend has worries about being sea sick! Can anyone recommend a trip that will be nice and gentle on the stomach?!
We`ve looked through the
ICR trips and they sound great, but would any of them be suitable?
Thanks all x x

the sea isn't normally rough enough to induce seasickness, but a couple of travel sickness tablets taken an hour before you go will sort out the problem.

I was also worried about feeling seasick as I dont particularly like boats but they are fine. The waters are usually very calm and it does not feel like you are on a boat. Great value as well, an all day trip plus lunch for about £10 or under

If you go on a boat trip and feel a little be woozy, go down to the lower deck, goto the middle of the boat (This is the most stable part, think of a sea-saw the middle hardly moves compared to the ends) and look out at the horizon or anything else that doesn't move, eg Shoreline, tree, this will enable your brain to translate the signals coming from your balance in the ears.

Hi. You could try taking a Ginger supplement about an hour before you go. I don't suffer from motion sickness, myself but a couple of people I know do suffer. They say it seems to work. It would be a shame to ruin a great day out because of this problem

If you are prone to seasickness, one to avoid is the catamaran to Rhodes Island. We did that about 4 years ago & it was awful. We left
Marmaris & it was a gorgeous day. By the time we were about half way there the sea was so unbelievably choppy. Neither me or anyone else in my family are bothered with seasickness, but we were all ill. Didn't enjoy ourselves when we eventually did get to Rhodes because all we could think about was having to get back to Marmaris

Thanks everyone for your advice. Now just a case of convincing my friend that it`s still a good idea!!
It was a bad trip on a catamaran that has made her so wary, so we will definately be avoiding those!
Roll on Sept 28th
