Beaches in Marmaris

Hi,

I am thinking of going to marmaris in July but dont know what the beaches are like. Can someone advise me of what they are like. Ive heard mixed reviews but someone said the sand is black!?!!?

Hi Emily
The beaches in Marmaris are no where near as nice as Icmelers, the sand is very dark, but I wouldn't say actually black. Some areas of the beach have only room for 4 sunbeds deep as it's quite narrow in parts.
best thing to do, is stroll along the promenade and choose a place you like.
