Mr Chefs - Old Village

Postby SammyB » 30 May 2007 00:15

Myself and my friends recently visited Icmeler. We stayed at the Moonlight Apartments - which were great. We often went to Mr Chefs Bar/Restaurant (Old Village) . It was fab!!! Very welcoming, great breakfasts, great food. Looking forward to going again in July.

Opposite the Chef is a restaurant called Love Star REstaurant/Bar.

I would highly reccomend it with a livley and very friendly atmosphere i was there May and am also going back in July.

It has a wide range of food and drinks for you and your friends especially the cocktails and FISH BOWL.

A great night out.

Hi there, well i have just read your post and was really surprised when i read your post on Mr Chef's restauraunt in the old village as last week a put up a post on the forum about the very same restauraunt but have recieved no replies. We too stayed at the moonlight apartments for the second time last year and really enjoyed it there and also our most favourite restauraunt is just around the corner. Me and my husband are great friends wit Ishan the owner. Last year Ishan and the rest of his staff threw a surprise party for my husbands 33rd birtday and really made his night....they bought him a cake and decorated the whole place with banners and balloons it looked really good. I was wondering when you go back in the summer if you could give Ishan a message from me please, it would mean alot to me as we've been friends now for 3 years and i can't seem to get him on his mobile anymore as he must have changed his number or phone. Please tell him " Kim said hello dad" and that her and martin send their love and we will see him on the 16t july 2008 with all the family and to send us a txt if he can. The reason i call him dad is because he looks like my dad and it's an on going joke with us, he will give you a big smile when you say that : ). Thanks Sammy. Are you going back to the moonlights again this year? I hope you ave a really great holiday, make sure you let me know how it went when you get back. Love Kim x

Hi Martin and Kim,

It was the first time i had stayed at Moonlight but my friends had stayed there before. We will be staying at the Golmar Hotel in July for 2 weeks - cant wait!! Bit worried about the weather though - i reckon its going to kill us!!
There is 13 of us coming in July (family and friends) and possibly another 6 for the second week.
I would love to stay at the Moonlight with my husband and children as i think the kids would love that pool and slide!!

We also like to go to the Kareoke bar - far end of town on beach. Its great fun there in the day, all the waiters play you up and also come out dancing along the promenade!! The evening entertainment is also good fun although repetative - its similar to when i came about 3 years ago. I must admit though - i think the smaller bars/restaurants like Mr Chefs add that personal touch and i think that they really do enjoy your company. We will definately sending the men up there every morning for a large breakfast!! :D
