People staying at the Devamli

Postby clare » 29 May 2007 13:52

Hi, has anyone stayed at the Devamli yet this year, who is working there this year. I know speedy is in the army this year.

Can anyone let us know who is working there as we go in August for two weeks and would like to know if any of the old faces are there. :D In the Love Boat and the Sports Bar

Hi Clare,
We called in at the end of our holiday in april as it had just been refurbished but unfortunatly we did not get to know the lads to well, but they were a good crowd and looked after us very well. You will not recognise the place it looks fantastic now as do's the hotel.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Anne-Marie very funny my sides are splitting with laughter.

for anyone who does not know anne-Marie is my friend and she will be going on holiday with me, she thought it would be funny to reply to my topic. Think I may have to duck her in the pool when I get there.

Disapointed.

Our tour operator has just been on the phone and told us that we will not be staying at the Devamli as this has been overbooked 2 days before we are due to travel. Totally gutted at I booked this holiday a year ago as Devamli is my husbands favourit hotel and I wanted it especially as its his 50th birthday and was his surprise.

Hi Colette

They have put us in the Aqua which is in a good location but the reviews have not been very good.

If it had been an orginary holiday I wouldnt have been to upset but Ged really likes the Devamli and I wanted his birthday to be special.

I was offered a full refund from tour operator what good is that when we are due to go on Friday.

Lynne

Sorry to hear about the change to your holiday! You are right, who would want a refund so close to your holiday? Still, at least you are still going to Icmeler and the Aqua looks lovely and I have read some good reviews about it in the past. I am sure you will both have a wonderful time, tell hubby "Happy Birthday"! :)

Thanks Tania/Colette

Will pass on your birthday wishes when the day arrives :D

The ironic thing is when I booked this holiday last June the Devamli wasnt available then I was told it was and paid £30 administration fee to get transferred to it :x

Lynn. I think I might have booked with the same company as the Devamli wasn't in the brochure this year but they said they would book it for me anyway. Let's see if the same thing happens to me.

Hi Shastie

I spoke to the Devamli last night and I think there is problems between them and tour company.

I've pm you the name of the company I'm going with.

I have also booked to go back in September with them so it will be interesting to find out what happens.

That is such a shame Lynn especially when you have been booked for all that time. I know you probably felt like taking the full refund but hopefully you will have as good a time in the Aqua which looks lovely. Atleast you can go for drinks and eats to the Sports Bar which I know will not be the same but atleast you will still be in Icmeler.

Hope you and hubby have a great holiday and a Happy Birthday to him when it comes.

Sports Bar has been all redecorated very modern with bar and gantry that has flashing lights.

Freddy, Ferrit (Ice) and the lovely Mustafa are still there and there is now Tiger behind the bar and Murat waiting.
