Hiya

I havent posted on here for a while i was in turkey a week ago for 2 weeks, had a really fab time and hated coming home as usual. I still not over the fact that i am home!! Anyway can someone please let me know where in dalaman airport you have to go if your taking a phone over to use in turkey. I know you have to get it registered, and someone told me that when they went to bodrum airport they were told they had to go to a shop in bodrum resort! I dont know if this is right with dalaman and icmeler because the person who im taking it out for said i have to get the paperwork from the airport???? Can someone please help me with this

Much appreciated

I know it says you should register mobile phones but I never have and never had any issues, I think you may need to register it if you want to buy a Turkish sim card.

You dont need to register it to use an english sim in it, but im taking the phone over for a turkish friend so they will have a turkish sim to put in it! I know you have to register them to use a turkish sim in it otherwise the signals to the phone get locked out!

mobile phones

You can no longer register mobile phones at Dalaman airport. They have to be taken to either a Turkcell Extra/Telsim Extra shop which you can ony find in Mugla and you need a receipt with your name on it. Without these you cannot use UK mobile phones in Turkey.

Just to clarify, I have an English mobile, will I not be able to use it in Icmeler, either to phone home or to phone a Turkish mobile there?

Thanks
