We like to try a varied cuisine when abroad, certainly not anything English as this is boring enough even when in England !
No, we have not booked to Turkey specifically to eat German food ( who would?) but we do have our eyes open when walking around!!, however knowing the area is popular with Germans, i thought that justified asking such a question!
Having spent a lot of years growing up and travelling central Europe I have aquired a liking for German food and beverage, and French and Spanish, well to be honest just about anywhere that is not the dull bland British stuff!!

Hi Lisanige
Sorry I didnt mean to offend you. I was only joking.
I prefer continental food as well, though I tend to use to much Olive Oil in my food

. I hate how everything comes served with chips which I do enjoy occassionally but not with every meal.
"German beverage" that would'nt be the beer would it???

sorry

I don't like chips with everything either. But that is what I like about Icmeler, you can get many varied dishes to suit everybody's tastes, even my son's and hes a veggie. Most places will accommodate your eating habits if you ask, British or European. Di.

As regular visitors to Cafe Anne, next to Erdem cafe, a lot of Germans/dutch do eat in here as well as many Brits. The food is fabulous and very well priced, the service is brilliant and as you walk in you will see huge gateux and cheesecakes all of which delicious. If you like salads try one of their salads and let me know if you manage to eat it all, the portions are enormous
Even the cappuchino they serve is amongst the best in
Icmeler advises my beter half who is a real coffee fanatic
