Hand luggage

Postby bec » 10 May 2007 12:53

Hey all

Just wondering are the restrictions still in place or have they mellowed out a bit?
Last time i went was October and no food, water, perfumes etc could be allowed in your hand luggage until through the security bits.
Is this still the case?

Bec

Yes hand luggage restrictions are still in place. Whichever airport you are flying from check their website for full information.

www.baa.com will give you any information that you need

are the restrictions in Dalaman airport the same as UK airports :?:
The only reason i ask is that not to be allowed to take a a couple of bottles of pop into the airport is going to cost a fortune if you have to get a drink from the departure lounge. :(

Hi Jon Jon,
We came back through Dalaman airport at the end of April and were allowed through with bottles of water no problem.

I'm wondering if sandwiches are allowed, as we never have the meal on the flight.

Best to check with the airport you're flying from.

I'm flying from Bristol on Monday and have checked:
They say all liquids (in hand luggage) must be presented at search in a re-sealable transparent bag (but you're ok to carry this bag in your flight bag) - maximum per container is 100ml, volume max 1 litre.

Medicines and special food requiredduring the flight do not need to be carried in the plastic bag. All medicines must be verified. All food in liquid form must be tasted by the passenger (so I assume a sarnie will be fine - forget about taking a yoghurt though!).

You're ok packing in hold baggage though - so think most of mine will just go in the suitcase.

Looks as though all make
