I have always meant to have a shave at the barbers whilst on holiday but never seem to get around to this.
Can anyone advise an approx price for a shave, I know it will vary but just a ball park figure

i paid three to four pounds and that included a tip last year. this includes a face and upper body massage and nose and ear hair either burned off or trimmed.

its well worth it i dont even take a razor when i go on holiday anymore

A visit to a turkish barbers is a must, I try and plan it so a haircut with all the trimmings is required on the day of arrival to totally rejuvonate you after the journey.
Also i have often wondered why there are no turkish barbers in this country [well none that i now of where we live].

Avoid the barber in the underground market. My friend and I went in for a shave, he spent the whole time pressurising us to get a haircut, buy hair treatments etc, we refused. After we had both been shaved he demanded £20 from us. There was a huge argument and we ended up giving him £6 and walked away. Later that week I was in the market shopping with the wife and he was trying it on with another tourist.

We also have a Turkish barber in our village of Haydock, his name is Izzy. He cuts my grandsons hair and he wouldn't go anywhere else!

My son had his hair cut last year at a barbers just around the corner from De Ju Vu (think thats how its spelt) by someone called Alex. He did an excellent job, all spiky as teenagers like it and half the cost of a cut at home (£3.50). He can't wait to get back in July and have it done again, he says the ones at home can't get it the same. Hehe. :D

I got my hair cut in the hairdressers on the otherside of the road from the Waterfall best hair cut I have ever had. spend £70-£100 here in Edinburgh for colour and cut but cost only about £25 sorry cant remember the name of it, but its next a cafe that sells lovely cakes

It always pays to ask the price first when getting hair done as they always charge you for extras.
