We went last year in the middle of August and it was about 48 degrees.. first couple of days were a struggle I can tell you, we're just not used to that sort of heat.
Make sure you drink loads of water and be VERY careful of the sun, it will roast you alive :D

We also went early August and it was very hot but nice if you can stand the heat. Try to avoid the mid day sun, that is roasting!!

We always go the last two weeks in August, the weather is red hot.
No problem for our family though, come 12 oclock I seek the shade of Sugars Buffalo Bar,have a little lunch and partake of a few thirst quenchers, before going back out into the sun about 2-30pm.
It is far to hot to sunbathe during the middle of the day,so best look for a little shade with a nice ambience.

Like Gene, I always go the last 2 weeks of August when it's still extremely hot - sweaty hot.

The 2nd week usually feels a little cooler than the first week but I never know if it's just that I've aclimatised myself to the heat or the temprature has actually dropped one or two degrees...

Plenty of water and lots of shade is best - the Erdem cafe is great for a bit of lunchtime shade. And bear in mind you will still catch the sun under shade so keep re-applying the old sun lotion.
