Anybody know what is happening with the pop inn?Saw Oscar at christmas just before his wedding he never mentioned anything about not being there next season.Our friends are over there buying an apartment they rang us last night and said that all the new awnings are down at the pop inn and that they were taking all the signs down yesterday.I wonder if he is moving yet again?Any info please as the pop inn is one of our favourite bars.

I dont think Oscar is moving from the Pop Inn cos my boyfriend is meant to be going back there to work for him again this season and he hasnt mentioned anything to me about Oscar not being there. Maybe they are just starting some renovations and getting the place ready to open beginning of April.

Saw Orhan 2 weeks ago. He is totally revamping his restaurant to have an area with plastic windows that can be put in when the weather becomes wet or cold and stay open as long as he can throughout the season. He said it's going to be better than last year, so wait and see, he's never disappointed anyone yet.

Dear All,

Promised you an update, so here it is. Orhan opened on 11 April and has revamped his restaurant. He has a large area with plastic walls ready to stay open as long as he can. He has an outside area which was nice to sit in during the day last week, but a little cool after 10pm. He hopes to have the walls open when the weather gets nice and warm, but until then, it's nice and warm inside on the cool evenings, the 2 patio heaters helping.

He hopes to have a really good season and Joseph is back again this year complete with flat head and balancing act. Not sure how much more he'll drop this year, but he's up to 3 pint glasses balanced on top of each other now. Speedy is working for Orhan again this year, along with Ronnie and a few others who are all dancing already and hope to do so for quite a few months yet.

We're out again on 25 May, so hope to see you all in there. Ask Orhan and he'll point us out if we're there.

Is Ally still there, also heard Martin may be back this year.

Cant wait to go to Pop Inn, Oscar is so lovely, we go there every night.

Hiya Bev,

Ali wont be there this year, he was planning on coming over to England with his fiance and last i heard was that Martin was going to work in Oscars bar infront of Waterfall.

I heard theres going 2 be alot of new staff working for oscar this summer. I know Ali's not going back which is a real shame,
Ali was one of the most genuine and nicest bloke working for Oscar ....he will be missed
Does any1 still keep in touch with ALi and knows wot hes up to and how he is?
Any more news on who will be working there this summer...

I text both Ali & Oscar on Monday had reply from oscar confirming the pop in is open but none from Ali . Think his number may have changed but will let you know if i recieve any update from Ali!

The Pop In has been open quite a while now and I actually turned his Sky tv on 1st April so everyone could watch their favourite teams play

Thats great usually we beg to watech big brother its usually on when we are there but the football mainly wins!

where is oscars? Isnt it strange that when I first went in 1998 I could name all the restaurants and bars as there werent many now when people mention these bars I dont remember seeing them as there are so many

Oscar is now at the pop inn restaurant you may remember that, its near the centre about 200 yards away from the night club pleasure!
