hi,
i booked with xl in september, we booked through their website but just be warned that even though we booked with xl we actually flew with an airline called flyjet which xl sometimes uses we ended up with a 21 hour delay in manchester airport with no explanation and no
hotel provided.

It was one of the worst experiences ever. We flew back home with xl we had a 2 hour delay but that is to be expected so if the flight number starts off with FJE flap your arms you will get there quicker!
hope this helps and your trip will be better than ours.

We flew with xl a couple of years ago and the flights were great both ways on time and even arrived early to our destination, and staff were great and the seats felt as though they were slightly bigger than other aircrafts.

Hi there......
We booked with excel airways on two cccasions and both times the flights were cancelled . The first time i had booked 16 seats on the flight so you can imagine the panic

. We did eventually find alternative flights with another company , but i don't know if i would chance them again .
However we have flew with them a few years ago to Menorca and if my memory serves me right the flight was on time and the meal was fine.

Hi Bobtu
I noticed when I was booking my flights for this year (back in September) that XL were flying from Exeter for the first time to Dalaman, but having had both my flights merged with the Cardiff flight last year and knowing that the Friday flight had been cancelled, I was a bit scepitcal about booking with XL and thought I'd be better off sticking with the Monday Exeter flight which has been running for years.... glad I did!!!!
Glad you managed to book onto the Onur Air flight and for less money! Great!

We flew with them to cyprus a couple of years ago and it was okay and we flew with them again last year from East Midlands and it was sub-contracted on to a company called fly-jet. It was okay but the aeroplane was a bit rickety but it was okay, not the worse flight I've been on by far.

the name fly jet sends shivers down my spine!! but saying that we did fly with them in july and we were off on time maybe it was just our bad luck being delayed for such along time in september.

we had two flights with them last year, the first was a nightmare,we had to wait for a jumbo to come down from manchester to gatwick, big delays going and returning, because we had already booked the flights for the next holiday we could not change, having said that it was like flying with a different company, flights were great and near enough on time, I suppose its the luck of the draw,we have used British airways a couple of times now,no problem, but it does cost more,
in the end its all down to luck.
