icmeler update

Postby shaz » 07 Jan 2007 17:11

Hi everyone , well i promised to give you an update on icmeler closed, so here goes. The last two days have been beautiful during the day its been sunny about 14 -15 degrees but really chilly at nightime, thank goodness for the heater and hot water bottle  . Went for a walk today, quite a bit of roadworks going on. A few restaurants are open ie, three bells, babadan and also for the first time this year the Florida bar. Cafe Anne by the medical centre is reopening on the 25th january. The boats are moored up on the beach and eveything is closed along the canal, apart from the majestics restaurant. Tansas is open along with a few small market shops and a couple of green grocers.Theres a few people about. locals and also x pats. The dolmus is running about every 15 miniutes into marmaris. Everything looks quite strange all boarded up, but with the sunshing it still seems to have its magical appeal about it.The ducks are quite happy swimming away opposite the buffalo tavern, theres also locals fishing from the beach today. I have taken some photos and will upload them as soon as possible. I want to collect a few more yet so you will all be kept busy having a look at them.

Thanks for that Sharon. I'm sure with Christmas and New Year out of the way everyone is now counting down to their hols - I know I am!

It's great to be kept informed as to how Icmeler looks when we are not all there.

Anything new to look forward to?

Sue :)

Colette will see what i can do for you. Rami says hi to all. Tracy is in scotland but will be back shortly, i will get all the pics done and then send them to you colette  Once again today the weather is amazing .Marmaris obviously is a lot busier. Today i popped in quickly to have a wander around murdunu chicken has now gone in marmaris by tansas and a new company called alanis i think that was the name has taken over the smaller shops. Dont know what new restaurants are gonna open yet in icmeler as still a bit too early for all the work to get started, but there are quite a few with for rent and for sale signs up at the moment, we will keep you informed as and when things progress.
See you again soon

Yes I would agree with you about it being a very good restuarant but it is meant to have changed to a bank over the last couple of months. Both my daughters are gutted at the thought of it.

Hi all,

Just to confirm.

Sorry to bring bad news but......

On christmas day I spoke to Dan, Ozcans wife who confirmed that the Alvaro Restuarant is infact a Bank.

Posted a message tonight and will keep all updated as to whats happening...
