Thanks blondie.
Will be paying a visit to cafe rose in August.will be the first time we have been after walking past there last year on our final night.
We didn't go in as we had already arranged where we were going but promised ourselves we will go this year.
Really liked the look of this place.

It's definitely worth a visit - especially her set Turkish nights on a Wednesday or a Friday - but be aware that you need to book at least a day in advance for those.

Looking to try a few new eateries this year. Nazar Pide is one, along with beachside Cafe Anne's. Has anyone eaten in Sunblue ? Read good reviews and never got round to it last time. Might visit Meryem too. I avoid the square restaurants, too many cats for my liking and have tried most others in the main town. May venture into village area more, only eaten at Tipsi Burger and, Romance (if that comes under village).

Meryem is our favourite place to eat in Icmeler...great food. Nazar is also very good and good value too. Most of the little Turkish places are to be honest. That's where we tend to go.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I would like ti try more traditional places to eat this year. The tried and tested are great but still the same as always. I will look to eat maybe 50% turkish and 50% others such as steak houses. The only place i am really keen to revisit is Tipsi Burger, the other usual haunts i can take or leave, apart from Cafe Anne's, but that is usually a place for through the day for some indulgent cake, as opposed to dinner

There is a new place opened where Turkish Delight used to be, near the Titanic. Authentic Turkish cuisine, read somewhere it was really nice.

There is also a new place that a Turkish friend recommended, its on the main road facing the big migros ex tansas, if I remember rightly it is where Eileen's Chippy used to be or just behind it. It's easily missed as not exactly on the main road but just back a little bit.

Yes, the one where Turkish Delight used to be is called Hanci Ocakbasi and used to be just down from the Buffalo Bar. We were going to go there last month but they had just closed in preparation to move to their new premises. The other one, next to Kardelen but set back off the road is called Hatay Lezzet - we had a meal in there and it was excellent. There was no menu as such, but they just explained what they had and it was all delicious. We had lovely pide and a fab chicken casserole and it was so cheap too. Hope people give both of them a go...
There's also a new Turkish place just up from Robin Hood, on the corner next to Sienna Bar - called Olgun. Again, we had lovely fresh Turkish food in there and also so cheap.

Where is Ozzy's new restaurant?

Ozzy is now where the Champion Bar used to be - from the main square, take the little side street along beside the Icmeler Online office and it's on the first left-hand corner you come to - opposite TinTins and before you turn down towards the Buffalo Bar

hi Sami
we were there just two weeks ago and while we didn't go into Ozzis bar as we like Tin Tins, they were reasonably busy each night.

Thats good. I really like Ozzy and have known him for a few years now. It was a pity when he had to give up Ozzy's down in the old village as I liked eating there a lot. I hope he can make a go of this place.
