Well, it seems that Jet2 at least must think tourism is going to pick up in Turkey, as they've announced new routes from Edinburgh and glasgow for next year. There will be direct flights to Antalya and Dalaman from Edinburgh and to Bodrum from Glasgow.

That's encouraging. I never use Jet2 as they are way too costly, 22kg baggage allowance or not. I wonder why they do not fly from Glasggow to Dalaman ? Probably a good explanation. We are flying from Newcastle this year, as considerably cheaper than going from Glasgow. It irks me that flights from Glasgow are a great deal more expensive than from airports in the north of England, Newcastle, Manchester etc
