Wayside not reopening this season...

Just saw today that the Wayside won't be opening this season. Owners Hamdi and Rachel have decided to cut their losses after a few quiet seasons and sell up. Sad news, as you always got excellent food and service there.

Very sad to here that. That was the first restaurant I went in in Icmeler all those years ago and I'll never forget it.

Very sad, this. We've had some lovely nights, and great meals at Wayside. It's a big worry when Icmeler institutions like Wayside can't survive. I can remember when we had to book a table there just to guarantee our booking, as they were so busy. Same with Hanedan, who've also gone. I wish them all well for the future.

Unfortunately I think its going to get worse before it gets better. Just been reading that the Eden Gardens will not be open this year either. Another decent apartments not opening. Whats going to be next
