Just had an email from the Bonjour saying it is to be demolished this year

Yes, found out a couple of weeks ago when I contacted Ferhat to ask about booking for next year. Shame, as it's such a lovely place in such a great location too...

Blondie. Have you an news on whether there will be anything built on the same site? It will be such a loss, particulary the restaurant which was very popular.

Not 100% sure at the moment - have heard that the restaurant may be continuing, or there could be shops. The Ida next door is continuing and you can still book there.

The rental contract was due for renewal out and the owner decided not to release it again as he wanted to demolish and modernise it, after all he is an estate agent so I should imagine he does know what he is doing

Aww that is a real shame, I hope they keep the restaurant as had many decent meals there.

Quick update - demolition work is now underway at the Bonjour. Latest word is that there are going to be a couple of apartments on the first floor with possibly a couple of shop units underneath.

Another top restuarant gone what's happening to Icmeler more shops place end up like a ghost town 10 years ago this resort was fab but slowly going down hill
