We had a day after the night time thunder storm a week ago when it was cloudy, windy and cool and could not sun bathe, so what to do??
We have always said that we wanted to try the walk al the way back from the taxi boat station in
marmaris all the way back along the promenade to Icmeler.
So we did, completely knackered by the time we got back , with 2 coffee breaks, lunch and several sessions of grit blasting from the beach areas, but what a great time we had.
We saw areas we have only seen from the boat in the distance, super planting along the route, lovely cafes along the way, more nice people serving the public, and we got enough exercise to level up the sloth like laying on sun beds for the rest of the 11 days on hols.
We also saw a couple of places that we may visit for some different entertainment next year when we return again.
It's a relative's pub / restaurant for us in September where they are living in Fuengirola, can't refuse to go yet again, but what a rigmarole to book everything, so much harder than coming back to Icmeler, and no
JT or office staff to help.
I genuinely hope that the Mayor of Marmaris eases some of the rules so that
Icmeler can offer the great holiday experiences we've enjoyed in the last few years
It will be June for us next year - give the place a chance to open properly.
