Anyone know if it's just a Fruit & Veg Market (same as Icmeler) ??? :(

I think Trips are available a bit further out for the Clothing/Shoes and 'Everything' else Markets

They did have bags, clothes etc last year, as far as I'm aware. Yes, you can easily visit some of the larger markets - Mugla, Datca, Koycegiz - for example, either through an organised trip or under your own steam by getting the dolmus to the otogar in Marmars and then hopping on a bus from there.

Cheers Blondie .... Mrs G ain't a Dolmus type of Girl, except a jaunt down to Marmaris Harbour front  ... So I think we'll try a Taxi Boat to Turunc and see if it's a 'full' Market there, if not we'll go via an 'organized' excursion I think ... Mrs G likes a good barter and misses the Icmeler Market :(

Just a shame the Mayor stopped it .... Fancy Turkey Market Traders selling 'counterfeit' goods ... It's just a good job that the Shops in Icmeler sell everything that's 'legitimate' and 'real' isn't it!! Lol

Awww, she doesn't know what she's missing - but once you've got to the otogar, the buses you get to the other places are more like the single decker bus/coach we have over here. Air conditioned, water on board and everything!

Thanks, but honestly she's a right panicker and doesn't like changes to her routine

I went to the Turunc market last year and was very disappointed. They do sell items other than fruit and veg but I ended up not buying a thing and considering I am known as a shopaholic the family were astounded I came away with nothing! It's worth a look but if you want to do a serious shop I think it would be better to travel further afield, or shop locally, unless it has expanded this year. It will be interesting to get some feedback from those visiting early in he season, nevertheless it is a lovely day out.

Yep, thought that was the case last year :( ... Oh well, a day out elsewhere it is then!

Was even thinking about driving for a day or so to head up towards Datca at our leisure and other areas .. But would it leisurely the way they drive???

Geordie, anyone thinking of travelling further afield in search of a market that sells clothes, handbags, shoes etc. should do some research first. Three of us did the ICR Mugla trip last year under the impression that it would be selling aforementioned goods but turned out to be just food like Icmeler Market. It was a wasted long day in our opinion.
