Or is it the same .
On the pluse side was in icmeler in April and going back in October.

I think the nearest to Bodrum we've been is the Bodrum airport on route to Altinkum. An enjoyable holiday.. But wouldn't go again.. Not stayed in Bodrum itself.

I was in Bodrum about 3 years ago. I enjoyed it but it was nothing like Içmeler. Bodrum is right next door to Gumbet and you walk out of 1 and into the other. Gumbet is a very beautiful town with nice restaurants and bars. Bodrum is more of a party trown. There is bar street which is boom boom boom until the early hours. If you like that sort of music then you'll love bar street. If not then it may be best to avoid. You will also find other bars and restaurants away from all the noise so don't let me put you off too much haha.
I did enjoy Bodrum but like I said its nothing like Içmeler

Think you may have mixed the towns up. Gumbet is more of the party town and I found it to be quite small. Bodrum is much more laid back is much larger and has a beautiful castle

When your in Bodrum , get the dolmus to Bitez lovely Bay and really laid back, some nice places to eat near the beach. We actually stayed in Gumbet was about 1 mile from bar street and could still hear the music and see the lights at 02.00 in the morning and inside our room.
