Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Hi we are very excited it's now 70 sleeps until out trip!
We are pretty organised just the online visa to complete & suitcases to back!
As the weeks /months are flying in thought it would be nice to have a little topic around icmeler in May time.
I see from the May list many people are going May usually we have visited June/July & September so was just wondering what the resort is like in May? Is it relatively busy? Are most shops/bars open? Is it a little cooler at night time? Any recommendations for this time of the season?

From your countdown I see its mid May you will be there.

I went on 4 May last year which was nice, there were people around but it wasn't that busy and there were a few bars not open - they told us they were opening the following week which this year will be the week before you are going (hope that makes sense).

A couple of nights I did wear a cardy and it did rain 1 day but only for short bursts before it brightened up again - the rest of the week the weather was sunny & high 20s.

The resort is fresh and the staff are gearing up for the season so seem a little more laid back than later on.

I would travel again in May again but this year I'm going in June because I want to be there for the World cup.

We mainly go the last 2 weeks in May and its our favourite time of the year. Everything is fresh, the bar staff are new and enthused, the flowers are out and the resort looks great

Weather is usualyy great, about 25/30 during day and a little cooler at night. it is worthwhile taking a light jacket/pashmina

As it is not ridiculously warm we do not need to buy air con from hotel.

The majority of bars are open and the excursions are up and running as well

Thanks for your replies we go 16th of May & are so looking forward to it love the fact everything will be fresh with everyone so enthusiastic to begin the season

Will be nice yo see the resort a little quicker & enjoy places with the staff being more relaxed as we have always went at peak seasons

We were there for the World Cup 2008 & it was phenomenal the atmosphere was fantastic the staff & locals were so passionate especially when Turkey were playing we had so many fantastic nights & I am not a football fan what so ever you will have a ball chezza!

I will be sure to pack a few Cardi 's for night & never even thought about not needing aircon thanks
