So far, I have booked with Bravofly and E-dreams. Both were one way but cheaper than doing it with one carrier return. :D

Try looking on skyscanner - we have found it helpful when trying to find cheap flights for my son, but have to say this time, we have actually booked a package deal as it turned out to be cheaper than booking everything individually.

Hi Dodge

I agree flights are expensive this year compared to previous years.

Like Sami I booked 2 one way flights with different carriers as it saved me a considerable amount of money.

The flight times are really good & I decided to go for 12 nights instead of the 10 I was originally planning - are you flexible on the days you can travel? Mid week looks to be a bit cheaper.

All I need to do now is ask my brother to give me a lift to and from the airport.

16 weeks to go......

I to have this year succumed and booked a package after many years of booking indipendantly. The flights are so expensive it working out several hundred pounds cheaper to book the package. I'm sure the big guns know this and do to entice you into booking the package. It was only £50 each dearer to book the package than flight only - how do they work that one out. Must admit the flights are really good times. If i was more flexible I would have still booked indipendantly but the flights just didn't tie in with the days I needed to come/go. Hopefully I will be back to my indipendant travelling next year as feel really guilty at not going to my usual apartments.

We booked flights only with Thomas Cook for August and they were £712.00 for both of us all in.
Compared to 2 years ago when it was £1,200 we were pretty impressed with that, especially as flying from gatwick is so expensive.

I've just checked again and with T/rep its £233.74 but if I book 2 seperate flights one way each way, £226.87 which is pretty good.
