Pinewood Apartments

Postby daisychain » 03 Nov 2013 17:13

Hello. I just wondered if anyone has booked for Pinewood apartments next year? I've been going here twice a year for the past 15yrs, but when I've tried to book for next year, every week is coming up as unavailable. I've even tried dates at the very start and the very end of the season, when it is usually very quiet, but even these are coming up as unavailable. I'd be very surprised if every single week has sold out so soon! I don't usually book up until well after Christmas. I know that Pinewood has been up for sale for a couple of years, so maybe its been sold. I've also tried e-mailing Thomsons, as maybe they no longer have the contract with Pinewood, but they have yet to get back to me. Don't know whether to just book alternative accommodation or to hang on in the hope that Pinewood becomes available? Any advice or info would be gratefully received. xx :?

I phoned thomsons about the pinewood and they said that there is some sort of dispute with the owners and would let me know when the pinewood is back on their web site. I keep checking to see if any other travel agent are showing pinewood .we have been going there for ten years and don't really want to go any where else.

At the moment we too are waiting to see what happens as new owners were supposed to take over last year and we were due to sell but then it fell through, so maybe its now getting into gear

Who knows? not us at the moment but as soon as we do know then so will you all

Thanks for the link Gene. I was aware that ICR had Pinewood listed but when I checked on their website it was also saying on there that Pinewood was not available.

Well the plot thickens.....I have it on very good authority, some very interesting , if not shocking news about Pinewood. Don't want to put it on here in case I'm breaking any rules...maybe JT can advise me on that. If anyone is interested and would like to e-mail me, I can let you know what I've heard. Suffice to say that we are now definitely and sadly looking for alternative accommodation for next year. :( :( xx

Hello,
Pinewood Apartments are being demolished to build a block of flats there, my friend works there and is in the process of clearing it out, all the balconies, patio doors have been taken down. It is now a shell the owners have moved away for the moment, what a shame.

Hi all,
Someone emailed me asking to see the video of the pinewood getting knocked down but I've since lost the persons email address.
if you want to see it do a google or youtube search for: Pinewood video 033

Its not my video, just something i'd seen on tinternet.

Such a shame as they were cracking apartments

Hi Peli,
Thanks for posting the video, such a shame it was demolished.
Sorry if i've broken any rules regarding your property - just thought people were interested in finding out what happened to the Pinewood.

Cheers John

Its been happening since people posted photos but making a forum a locked one and members only is not the way around it.

if you are happy walking around to take photos to share then they should really be available to all and not just to people who have to become a member or sign up to something to watch as it looks a little desperate

We have lots of members here who view and also many many more who are not members who also view, if they take a photo and use it elsewhere then its nice to name the site or contributor who made it available but if not then no big deal

If you are that bothered about being known for taking the photo or video then simply put a small watermark on them with your name or organization and then if used elsewhere at least you get your name in lights so to speak

I will leave the link on though for people who wish to join to view them though a simple link left on here direct to them could have sufficed
