Puffy bread

Postby Charlie K » 06 Aug 2013 20:00

Hi

Are there still restaurants who still make the puffy bread you get when waiting to order your meal.

I haven't been to Icmeler in 3 years and one of my favourite memories is this bread with garlic butter.

Roll on 13th September when we fly out.

Yes, still plenty of places do lavash bread. Some places do seem to be doing normal bread or garlic bread instead, but we found most of the places we went to still do it. Holiday, Hanedan, to name two and I know other people have said Chef, Turkish Delight, Rush, Aysima and Broadway do it as well

i really enjoy the lavash bread when out for our evening meal - one of my favourite parts :) i remember last year we went into a restaurant (cant remember where it was) and they brought us garlic bread instead, it was nice but i was sooo disapointed it wasn't the lavash bread. We all like the red dip that comes with it the best, even the kids. We wanted to get the recipe for it before we came home but never did :(
we started asking before we went in somewhere to eat if they did this bread and if they did it tended to win us over and we'd go in

I would say there's more restaurants serving lavash bread this year, which I was very pleased about as we too love to start a meal with it.

If I remember correctly lavaş is also served in Richard's Place, Lighthouse and Golden Moon. Didn't have it in Sidik's (such a shame as it's my favourite restaurant), Bonjour (three little rolls for two of us), Icmeler Restaurant, Rhodes or Tandoori Sizzler.
