People have been asking for a while how Bob (Barney) is and when is he back in Icmeler

It is with great regret that I have to announce that Barney passed away recently and I have only been passed the info by our own Elaine at ICR in Icmeler

Barney was a true gentleman and to Marnie we pass on our deepest sympathy from all at ICR and especially me as he loved taking photos as I did too and we chatted how hard it was to take the same photos over the season

He will be sadly missed by everyone on our forum and all people of Icmeler too.

I believe his funeral is 12 noon Wednesday in the UK and we have been informed that people he knew will be meeting up at the Robin Hood bar in Icmeler to offer a toast to Barney at 2pm Wednesday

RIP Bob, we had the pleasure in meeting you in 2011, you were a wonderful host, I will miss your winter updates.

Really sad news, Bob was a true gent, always with a friendly smiling face. He was a mine of local info who always had time to chat and give help and advice.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to Marnie and the family.
Our local pub is also called "The Robin Hood" so all of the "GEORDIE MAFIA" (8 of us) wil be raising a glass on Wed afternoon at the same time as Alex and everyone in the ROBIN HOOD in Icmeler.

I have just logged in to ICR forum after hearing about all the messages of condolence that have been posted. All I can say is thank you all for your good wishes and it's good to know he was thought of so highly. He will indeed be sorely missed.
