jewellers

Postby billy01 » 21 Jun 2013 21:23

hiya

I`m looking for a bit advice. we are in Icmeler in September and I am wondering if any jewellers would melt down & re-design gold rings, my wife wants to get me a new one but if she did the other 2 would just lie in a box somewhere, I would rather recycle the ones I have. any help would be much appreciated. (I think the other ones must have shrunk over the years as they are a bit tight) :? :? I WISH!!!!

cheers

Billy, I recommend that you visit Dino who is a first rate craftsmen,we know this from experience as we have dealt with him for years.
My wife did the same a couple of years ago when she had some old rings made into a new one to a design she had.
Dino can be found at Star Gold & Silver which is just a round the corner from Tin Tins on the way to Jimmys Okimo Bar & Restaurant.

I agree with everything John said My husband and I had old rings put into our wedding rings and my daughter & I have both had rings made from old ones incorporating the diamonds into new ones. If there is a certain style you want take him a picture and he will make it from that or he has a book full of designs and reasonable to .

Hi i would like to say be very carefull where you go as i was told by some one that they had a 22ct gold ring of which was great sentimental value melted down & made into a nother ring. When they got home they took it to a jewelers to get it valued & it was only made of 9 ct gold. I do not know where i Icmeler they took it. I always go to Jasmin jeweler it is near the fountains on the square just up from The E.Ltoile hotel he is a nice guy & will be happy to help you. Enjoy your holiday
